インスパイアについて調べてみた。

二郎ラーメンのインスパイア店とかなんとかよくゆうから、国語辞典の王様、広辞苑に出てるかと思いきや出てなかった。で、ちょっと検索したらば、良記事をみっけ。

二郎のインスパイア店ってよくそういう言い方するけど、それって食べたことあるかっていうとなかったりする。最近二郎食べないなあ。この前三田を歩いたんだが、ハセガワミヤコさんの東京タワーのライブの散歩、芝や三田や家政婦は三田、昔すんでたあたりをつうかしたんだが、昔あったところに二郎がない、そうそう、ないんだよなあ。移転したんだっけ？

今日は緯度と経度が出てきた。

longitude

ロングマンによれば、
a position on the Earth that is measured in degrees east or west of a meridian とある。
例文には、
The town is at longitude 21 degrees east.
とある。
兵庫県明石市は東経135度だから、It is located exactly on 135 degrees eastということになるのか。緯度はlatitudeだったか。

列車の中でロシア人エンジニアとキューバ人とアメリカ人のビジネスマンと弁護士が居合わせる話。なにが可笑しいのかがわからなかったようだ。

get to do

Unicornの高校二年の教科書で以下の表現が出てきた。

After the game, eating rice together is also a big treat for them because they rarely get to eat rice.

このget to doの例文として、ページ下にこういう例文もあった。

I never get to use my brogher's new computer.

ここでのget to doは英辞郎の⑤の意味で「（許可を得て）～できるようになる、～できる機会（チャンス）を得る」
まさに「ゲットする」感じですね。

中2が少し予習で受動態をやっている。受動態がらみの熟語を先走って覚える。

中学生に発音記号の話をしていて探した英語発音のページ。発音記号は教科書の後ろの方には出ているがなかなかしっかりと公立中学校の授業では取り扱う余裕はないようだ。かといってテストに全くでないわけでもないので・・・発音問題・・・無視するわけにもいかず。補助的にこういうページを見なさいという程度のことは言う必要はある。道具を示せばそれを勝手に使って勝手にのびるこはのびるっていうことで。

saltとsoldが発音問題で間違えてた。

ベートーベン。ベートーベンが食べ物にうるさかったというはなし。be particular aboutが出てた。

とある。
これが出てた。

novel＝＝a long written story in which the characters and events are usually imaginary

小説。ノーベル賞のノーベルとはスペルも発音も全然違うという話。

今日の高校1年は随分英語を読んでいた。Z会の速読本。

今日は試験前なので日曜日だが生徒有志参加補習。英語の単語に関する質問のメモ。
